Lake Retba or Lac Rose which means PINK LAKE; lies north of the Cap Vert peninsula in Senegal of North-west Africa. The lake's pink colored water is due to an algae named "Dunaliella Salina" and is also known for its high salt content' upto 40% in some areas which causes buoyancy eneough for us to float.

WOW! so we can get to float and pleasure ourselves in fantasy pink-colored waters! A dream come true for all the girls and pink-lovers alike.

Lake Retba does not support much of marine life due its high salt content. It is however, a major tourist attraction and also a huge provider of salt.
